Gathering together
Teachers guide and support children while giving them space to make choices, ask questions, solve problems and discover things for themselves.

Preschool at PKA
A play-based preschool for children ages 2–5 in Park Slope and Prospect Heights, where curiosity, creativity, friendships and independence grow every day.
A day at PKA

Teachers guide and support children while giving them space to make choices, ask questions, solve problems and discover things for themselves.

Children spend their days exploring through imaginative play, art, music, movement, outdoor experiences, hands-on learning and time with friends.

Curiosity, creativity, friendships and independence grow through meaningful everyday experiences.
Growing together
Just as important, children learn how to be part of a community. They build confidence, form friendships, practice expressing themselves, and develop the social and emotional skills that help them feel comfortable, capable and ready for what comes next.
I am forever grateful to PKA for taking my child in and helping her develop into the question-asking, curious, confident, expressive kid she is.

The people behind PKA
Quin Marino and Josie Wold have known each other since they were kids. They built PKA to feel the way their friendship does: warm, familiar and close-knit. Today they lead a team of experienced, caring teachers, so every child feels known and every family feels at home.
